Dog Teeth Cleaning Terms & Conditions
Please read the following prior to booking your appointment. You will be asked to confirm that you have read & agree to the following when booking. You will also be provided with a paper copy at your first appointment.
1. Non-Veterinary Cosmetic Procedure
Teeth cleaning offered at the salon is a cosmetic grooming service only. It is not a substitute for professional veterinary dental care and does not include diagnosis, treatment, or sedation. Any signs of dental disease will be referred to your veterinarian.
2. Eligibility
Teeth cleaning services are available to dogs that are in good health and can tolerate handling of the mouth. Dogs with signs of advanced dental disease, excessive tartar, or oral discomfort may be declined and referred to a vet.
3. Behavior & Tolerance
For the safety and comfort of your dog, the procedure will only be performed if the dog remains calm and allows safe access to their mouth. If a dog becomes overly stressed, aggressive, or uncooperative, the service will be paused or discontinued, and no refund will be issued for incomplete sessions.
4. Cleaning Frequency & Maintenance
A recommended cleaning schedule will be suggested based on your dog’s oral condition. Maintaining regular cleanings and brushing at home is important for best results. Skipping scheduled cleanings may reduce the effectiveness of the service.
🪥 Recommended Frequency
-
Monthly – For dogs prone to plaque buildup, bad breath, or with limited home dental care.
-
Every 6–8 weeks – For most dogs on a consistent grooming schedule with moderate home care.
-
Every 12 weeks – For dogs with excellent dental health and strong at-home brushing routines
5. Limitations of Results
This service is designed to reduce visible plaque and tartar and improve breath, but results will vary based on your dog’s dental condition, age, and home care. Severe buildup or staining may not be fully removable through non-sedated grooming techniques.
6. Client Consent
By booking a teeth cleaning service, you acknowledge and accept these terms and confirm that your dog is in suitable condition for non-veterinary oral care.
