Service Description

Hand stripping is a grooming process that involves removing dead hairs from the coat by hand instead of clipping to keep the coat tidy and healthy. Handstripping grooms are perfect for breeds such as Spaniels and Terriers. It ensures that the colour and texture of the coat is maintained. The texture of wirehaired dogs will stay wirery if they have always been handstripping compared to if they have been clipped the fur can go fluffier. Handstripping is more costly than scissor & clipping grooms as it takes much longer to complete. There are pro's & cons for hanstripping vs clipping grooms which can be discussed prior to booking. PLEASE NOTE a bath is not included within this groom I only handstrip the following breeds: Border Terriers, Jack Russel Terries, Patterdales & Spaniels. Other breeds such as Fox Terriers & Airedales require a specialist. I also don't strip large breeds.
